If you are reading this article it's probably because you are in a similar situation to what we were 4 years ago. You are trying to sell your timeshare with absolutely no success!! Just like us you have probably registered with a number of resale agents only to discover it was a scam and you've been ripped off !!

Don't worry , it's not your fault! Believe it or not there is a solution !

We became friends with many timeshare owners over the years and we still keep in contact with them today. Since we have sold our timeshares the same question pops up every time we meet another timeshare owner.

They all ask "How can I sell my timeshare?"

So we felt it was time to act by sharing our experience and explaining exactly what we did to get rid of our timeshare. We truly believe that what we have to share will be of great help to others like you. Look upon the information below as free advice!

Unfortunately just like us because you want to sell your timeshare you are in effect easy prey to these unscrupulous resale agents. They are all claiming to be able to return you large sums of money back for the sale of your timeshare when in reality they cannot sell your week no more than you can.

The majority of them are one man bands running their mini scam operations from their bedrooms. The only thing the majority of these companies are interested in are the fees you pay up front. Once they have your money they take your timeshare details and register it on there website, if they even have one. They then leave it there on their shelves gaining dust forever.

They make absolutely no effort to sell timeshare at all !!

Unfortunately like us your options are quite limited but as we mentioned before please don't worry there is a solution. What if there was a genuine company out there that supplied you a good honest service that genuinely sold your timeshare !

How would you know where to find them? How do you know who to trust?

These are the problems that Ann and myself encountered when we tried to sell. The total cost of our learning experience until we found the right company was just under £2000 . We registered with 7 different agencies assuming that one of them had to be good but not a single one produced a result .

Some claimed to have a buyer but they wanted more money before they put us in touch with them , another scam !! Others claimed they were doing bulk purchases and our weeks were exactly what they wanted, another scam !! It was all just one scam after another!!

We originally owned 4 weeks of timeshare which we converted to points in Tenerife with a company called Sunterra which has now become Diamond vacations. We had to get rid of our points because Anne couldn't fly anymore, especially the four hours to Tenerife. The kids had grown up. The maintenance fees had trebled since we first bought, consequently as you can imagine, the kids wanted nothing to do with our timeshares.
